The federal government is being guided by a well-articulated strategy in its fight against corruption
- This is contrary to the misconception in certain circles
- This is the submission of the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed
The federal government has recovered 40 brand new SUVs and other vehicles from one former permanent secretary who single-handedly appropriated the vehicles to himself when he left office.
This was revealed in a statement issued in Lagos on December 29 by the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Mohammed was responding to criticisms about the government not having a clear strategy in its fight against corruption.
He said the federal government is not just fixated on prosecution alone but is also taking preventive measures to make corruption unattractive.
The minister listed some of the government's corruption preventive measures.
They are:
1. Strict enforcement of the Treasury Singles Account (TSA)
2. Establishment of the Presidential Committee on Asset Recovery
3. Establishment of the Presidential Committee Asset Tracing Committee
4. Setting up of an Asset Register and
5. The Whistle policy.

Meanwhile, the federal government has said it will employ 300,000 additional graduates for the next phase of N-Power volunteer programme.
Similarly, the federal government will train 25,000 cooks to assist the federal government in actualizing the home-grown school feeding programme in nine states of the federation.
