Gambia's state house website has installed Barrow's picture as president of the West African country.
This is the latest in the series of events that have been trailing the refusal of outgoing president Yahya Jammeh to leave power despite being defeated by Barrow in the presidential polls on December 1, 2016.
It could however not be confirmed at press time if the picture of Jammeh was officially replaced with Barrow’s or if the website was hacked.

A snapshot of the website shows Barrow’s picture with the inscription “The President of the Republic of The Gambia”
A Google search of Gambia’s president throws up pictures of both men in clear indication of the confusion the stalemate in Gambian politics has caused in the global community.

Meanwhile, Adama Barrow is set to be officially inaugurated as as Gambia's new President, today, January 19, at the Gambian embassy in Dakar, Senegal.
Barrow, in a tweet, said: “I would like to inform you that the Inauguration Ceremony is going to take place at the Gambian Embassy in Dakar, Senegal.”
