Aisha Buhari donates foodstuffs to 300 internally displaced children

Mr. Onwundinjo, the proprietor of Paraxis Catholic School has commended the first lady for donating foodstuffs to 300 internally displaced children.
The wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has donated foodstuffs to 300 internally displaced children on scholarship at the Paraxis Catholic school.
The proprietor and chief executive of the school, Mr Ben Onwundinjo, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, December 3.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Onwundinjo said the wife of the president was represented by the former deputy governor of Plateau state, Mrs Pauline Tallen.
He said the first lady had pledged to partner with the school to ensure that the 300 children were given the best educationally.
Aisha commended school for the scholarship scheme it initiated and called for support from stakeholders to sustain programme.
The proprietor commended the first lady for the gesture and assured that the items would be used for the benefit of the children.
He said the school had been renamed, Aisha Buhari Special School for IDPs and vulnerable children as a pet project and would be unveiled in the first quarter of 2017.
The proprietor said the handing over of the scholarship scheme to the first lady would achieve greater result of ensuring that no IDP child was out of school in Abuja.
Meanwhile, traditional rulers in Borno state are now to help identify fleeing members of the Boko Haram terrorist sect and hand them over to security agencies.
This follows an order from the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Elkenemi, to the traditional rulers and all the district heads in the 27 local government areas of the state.
Leadership reports that the Shehu of Borno spoke when he received the district heads in his palace on Monday, December 2 after summoning them.
The thanked the Nigerian military for helping to route the terrorists from the Sambisa forest in the state and pleaded with the federal government to ensure that all the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) are screened before returning them home.
