A teacher who admitted having sex almost every day with a 13-year-old schoolboy who got her pregnant has been jailed.
Alexandria Vera, 24, claimed his family were excited and supported her when she fell pregnant to her pupil last January.
But Vera said she had an abortion after getting nervous when child protection officers went to her school to question her.
The English tutor started sleeping with the boy in September 2015.
She hooked up with the teen, referred to as JT, after he asked her for her Instagram username so that they could follow each other.
Vera told investigators their relationship turned sexual for nine months after they spent more time together.

It kicked off when JT asked if the could hang out and she picked him up and kissed in her car, she told police.
She met his parents at a school open house and was introduced to them as his girlfriend when she met them again at his home.
Vera said JT would sleep with her at her house and she would drive him home the next morning so he could take the bus to Stovall Middle School, Houston, Texas.
The pair were in love and made no effort to hide their four-month affair, according to papers submitted to the court.
Another student said: ‘He grabbed her butt and everybody saw it. And then they were talking about it.’
Vera, who went on to work in a car wash will be eligible for parole in five years after pleading guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child.
State District Judge Michael McSpadden said he did not believe Vera was a danger to other children, and was not a classic pedophile.
But he needed to make an example of her to send a message to the community.
