He stated also that he recently gave out bags of rice, condiments and chicken to over 4,000 people who are less privileged in the society to celebrate this yuletide.
Primate Ayodele who is well known in Nigeria for his prophecies and warnings to the government over impending dangers, said: "I have been doing this for the past 13 years and there is nothing unusual for us.

In the spirit of the yuletide, these people were given chicken, condiments and rice to celebrate.
"I have a foundation that takes care of the widows, orphans, less privileged and the vulnerable in the society. This year's purchases were very expensive, but we thank God that we survived it.
"I do this for Muslim widows as well, I send them to Mecca, while the Christians among them go to Jerusalem; some of them recently returned from the Holy Land after observing the pilgrimage."
Asked if he does the things he does just to gain cheap popularity among the people and the comity of revered men of God, he replied that he does not stand to benefit anything from the whole deal apart from the joy that he derives from making people happy.

"There are people who live in a house God helped me to build just beside us here and they pay N1000 per month, how am I supposed to benefit from that? This is just something God is enabling us to do for those who are not so privileged.
"I gave some of my committed members plots of lands while we are trying to build a place for the widows; this is a project we are looking at for the next four years.
"Government cannot do it alone and instead of buying Rolls Royce or private jet, I'd rather take care of those in need. If someone dashes me a Rolls Royce now, I will sell it to take care of people who are in need," he explained.
